Grace Like Rain hosts Faith & Finances, an outreach program to build a financial learning community where they walk alongside those who are struggling financially and/or are not well-equipped with money management skills, providing practical tools and encouragement grounded in biblical principles. You can serve a family participating in this life changing program by donating a “Grab’n’Go” meal, which really makes a difference for the participant and the children. Also, Grace Like Rain is looking for 4 or more volunteers every Tuesday evening to help with childcare needs during the Faith & Finances class. One class begins at 5:00pm and another begins at 6:45pm. The childcare will take place at Cross Timbers Church in Denton and all childcare will abide by COVID-19 guidlines/restrictions.

Cumberland’s current project for residents is to build raised garden beds to be more self-sufficient and grow their own flowers and crops. They need several items to make this successful. You can help them to prep land for this project by dropping off whatever items you desire to donate. The various needed items are: adult size garden gloves, 5 gallon buckets, large garden rakes, garden shovels, garden hoes, compost bin, 6 cubic foot wheelbarrow, large bags of planting mix, gift cards for starter plants and seeds.
