The wilderness. As a landscape it's sparse and desolate, and as a season it is hard, lonely, and can feel unending. In the wilderness we face challenges, we come up against an opponent, we are brought face to face with our own weaknesses and failures, and are brought to the end of our self-reliance, as we struggle with each passing moment. While our culture teaches us to gravitate towards comfort, the pages of the Bible teach that Jesus was led by the Spirit of God into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. The wilderness is hard, but it is God’s path, and it is therefore good. Join us as we dive into the landscape of temptation, suffering and the fight we all face when we step into the wild.
